Philosophy:
Is based on four (4) general principles of the universe, Love, Admiration, Respect and Support (LAR"S Principles.) Love has to be real, unconditional and consistent; Admiration is earned through how one treats others and themselves, practicing honesty and being trustworthy; Respect is simply valuing self and others; and Support is always welcomed.

Mission Statement
To make sure all that we do is to benefit others, that we might benefit too, and to make a solid contribution to the lives of others, making a contribution to our own lives as well.

Purpose
To serve communities, children and families through human service programs and academic institutions, to raise funds to meet the needs of the less fortunate, and to provide support for new entrepreneurs.

Background
The Sheridan Patterson Center for Holistic Family Services, Inc. was established, May, 1996, it is a 501(c)(3) non-profit human services organization. The vision of the organization is to develop a child placement agency providing therapeutic foster homes for foster children and to expand the establishment to include a continuum care of services for special needs children.  A Wellness and Training Center are planned projects for the next five years.  New adult and children programs for the community are coming your way this fall.

All therapeutic services are provided by licensed and certified clinicians, social workers, psychologist and psychiatrist. All therapeutic services, trainings, other services and events are provided at the office site of the agency and in the foster parent's homes.
