Family Development Specialist/Recruiter-Trainer

The Sheridan Patterson Center for Holistic Family Services, a therapeutic foster care program, is recruiting for a Family Development Specialist. The Family Development Specialist must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and/or a Master’s Degree in Mental Health or Social Services field. Licensure in Social Work or Professional counseling will be preferred. Candidates must have a specialized knowledge, either through training or experience of recruitment/training of foster parents; knowledge of mental health and clinical issues; knowledge of or familiarity with the functioning of local community-based and government organizations.

Interested candidates should have at least two years experience in training and staff development, ability to function responsibly and effectively with minimal supervision. Experience in direct interaction with the public is required. Candidates must possess strong writing and presentation skills and the ability to effectively market ideas & utilize computerized database management systems.
